Neuropathy

Neuropathy is basically a disease of the nervous system in which one or more nerves of similar length damages, thereby cause severe pain, and create numbness and tingling sensation in the back or neck. Patients suffering from neuropathy pain are also in danger of developing new nerve damage. Research shows that there are more than 100 types of peripheral neuropathies. Motor nerves control the muscular actions like walking and talking.

Neuropathy injuries can also be caused by putting heavy pressure on the pressure points on the elbows and knees. For example, resting on the elbows for a long time, or having the knees crossed, etc. To avoid these types of injuries, avoid putting pressure on these points. Treating of the root cause of neuropathy is the best approach and chiropractic effectively treats this nervous system disease. Chiropractors make use of terms such as predominantly motor neuropathy or predominantly sensory neuropathy to express the patient’s state. Sensory nerves help recognize a gentle touch or a cut, and autonomic nerves control involuntary actions like breathing, heart beat and food digestion.

Chiropractic treatment uses different ways to relieve the symptoms of the neuropathy and to eliminate the root causes of neuropathy. These include physical therapy exercises, spinal adjustments, taking care of and checking numb areas of the body, and taking massage therapy.
