I wanted to tell people here that CBD has been very effective for my anxiety, and helps with insomnia. For me, it was a cumulative effect, after a week of one dropper of oil, I can sleep very well at night. I feel like I am not polluting my body with commercial pharmaceuticals. I wish everyone here the best, and hope it works for you as well as it has for me.
Having trouble sleeping? This Gold CBD Oil from Herbal Renewals could be just what you’re looking for. One of the world’s strongest and purest CBD concentrates, it’s available in three handy sizes. The concentrate is first absorbed sublingually (under your tongue), so you’ll start to feel its effects after ten to fifteen minutes. However, its thick consistency does mean it can take some time to absorb in your stomach. But when it does, it delivers a long-lasting and soothing calm—ideal for a good night’s rest.

Other potential side effects include low blood pressure, lightheadedness, and drowsiness, but these have typically only occurred in patients who have exceeded doses of 1,500 mg daily for a period of 4 weeks or more; far more than the average person will need take on a daily basis for chronic pain symptoms. (In fact, the majority of CBD users claim they find an effective dose to be anywhere between 10 and 40 mg daily).
In addition to their standard CBD hemp oil (which is available in 10 different strengths from 100 mg to 1,500 mg), they also offer a CBD crystal isolate (which can be used to infuse your own CBD concoctions), flavored terpene oils (terpenes are beneficial aromatic compounds from the hemp plant), a premium full-spectrum CBD hemp blend, and other branded products like “Pain Master,” “Chong’s Choice CBD,” and “Relax Extreme CBD.”

In short, the results of the survey (which were published in the Journal of Pain Research) showed that roughly 42% and 46% (respectively) of participants claimed they were able to use cannabis in place of traditional medical to effectively treat their specific medical ailment. So if you’re wondering how to know if you need CBD for pain, remember that you’re certainly not alone.
I was looking for alternatives in health care to help me with my health. For the past 4 years I have had persistent and at times quite agonizing pain in my hips and legs on a daily basis. This has led to ongoing anxiety. CBD has been helping with them both. While I feel it helps more with the anxiety it is definitely helping me to live a better lifestyle.

Liquid CBD Oil/Tinctures/Extracts: Drops or tinctures should have a “suggested serving size” and the total milligrams of CBD listed on their packaging. From there, you can determine the amount of CBD you would like to ingest. Simply place the correct quantity of drops under your tongue using the dropper and hold the CBD oil in place for a minimum of 60 seconds. The 60 second hold allows for absorption via the blood vessels underneath your tongue – efficiently bypassing first-pass metabolism. Once 60 seconds has passed, swallow the CBD oil.
This article will attempt to present information concerning cannabinoid mechanisms of analgesia, review randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of available and emerging cannabinoid agents, and address the many thorny issues that have arisen with clinical usage of herbal cannabis itself (“medical marijuana”). An effort will be made to place the issues in context and suggest rational approaches that may mitigate concerns and indicate how standardized pharmaceutical cannabinoids may offer a welcome addition to the pharmacotherapeutic armamentarium in chronic pain treatment.
Here’s where CBD for pain comes into play. Short for cannabidiol, CBD is a non-intoxicating compound found in the cannabis plant. Over the past decade, a growing body of evidence has found that the cannabis compound may act as a strong anti-inflammatory, reducing triggers for pain at the site of injury. However, that’s not the only superpower behind CBD for pain. The molecule may also trigger the release of feel-good neurotransmitters, which not only improve mood but may counteract negative pain signals to the brain.
Of course, though, they offer less potent oils than that, with a product lineup that ranges from 300 mg CBD per bottle to 4,000 mg. Naturally the 4,000 mg option is the most expensive (this is the one that provides the “bomb” 60 mg dose), as it currently sells for $299. For long-term pain and anxiety relief, though, it may be well worth it if it is effective for you and helps replace your regular meds.
I have sporadic back spasms for year I see a chiropractor monthly for maintenance (it help) and deal with daily Knee & hip joint pain due to my job (heavy mechanic/steel work with lots of walking). after reading all the great reviews on CBD oil I want to get off the daily ibuprofen regiment and try CBD oil. I would like to try it as a gel cap but would like some advise on dosage size. I also want to know how often I should take the CBD treatments. any and all advise is appreciated

Grant says this may lead to a “dampening” or mellowing of some neurochemical processes, including those linked to pain. “CBD may also react with other receptors, like those for serotonin, and it may have actions that reduce the inflammatory molecules produced whenever there is tissue damage or bacteria coming in,” he says. “But we really don’t know the mechanisms.”
Debate continues with regard to the relationship between cannabis usage and schizophrenia (reviewed (Fride and Russo 2006)). An etiological relationship is not supported by epidemiological data (Degenhardt et al 2003), but if present, should bear relation to dose and length of high exposure. It is likely that lower serum levels of Sativex in therapeutic usage, in conjunction with anti-psychotic properties of CBD (Zuardi and Guimaraes 1997), would minimize risks. Children and adolescents have been excluded from Sativex RCTs to date. SAFEX studies of Sativex have yielded few incidents of thought disorder, paranoia or related complaints.
Several people in CR’s recent survey also said CBD helped them deal with a variety of health problems. Among them, a 42-year-old woman in Eugene, Ore., who says she uses CBD to relieve severe menstrual cramps, a 60-year-old woman in Phoenix who takes it for better sleep, a 74-year-old man in Casper-Riverton, Ill., who says it helps his arthritis, and a 26-year-old man from Denver who finds CBD “very helpful” in easing symptoms of anxiety.

There are two main advantages to vaping: one, it makes CBD accessible over the course of your entire day, allowing you to control your dosage better than with food or a capsule. Second, vaping is efficient; it allows CBD to enter your bloodstream faster by skipping the digestive process. This means you’ll feel the effects much faster and with a smaller amount of CBD.

So, many of CBD's popularized benefits aren't well-proven. But are there any harms in trying CBD-containing products? In a word, yes. While any reported side effects from CBD alone are minor (think dry mouth and dizziness), they can be serious if the CBD products interact with other medications, experts say. Since CBD is metabolized by the same enzyme in the liver that metabolizes many conventional medicines and supplements, the chemical can cause the levels of other drugs in the system to rise; in some cases – like for those taking a drug to prevent their bodies from rejecting a donor organ – to a deadly level, Tishler says.

100% organic quality is all we deal. Only select, organic growers and extraction processes are used in any product found here. Our pure CBD oil products and tinctures get to work quickly through direct, oral administration. For those that prefer vaping, we are also proud to feature an entire line of 100% organic CBD oil vaping products including dab oils, vape oils, and even high quality vape kits.
Cons: It also could be challenging with tinctures to determine how much CBD you’re getting, either from the bottle dropper or from each spray, especially if the bottle shows only total CBD content and doesn’t list the per-dose amount. If needed, ask a retail salesperson for help or get out your calculator to calculate the amount of CBD per dose. The price per bottle could be more for a product with a higher CBD content per dose.
Stage III Vulvar Cancer is visiting my body. I am taking CBD oil from the dispensary in Massachusetts. I put a rice grain size rubbed inside my mouth under my tongue. It is so terrible tasting, especially now with Chemo and Radiation, my stomach is ok, but I am getting almost nausea when putting the CBD Oil on my gums. Can I take it rectally or vaginally? Have you ever heard of this? Is it still just as effective as taken orally. I am only doing this because of my condition. It does help me sleep and I am more relaxed. I just wish I did not have to taste or smell it.
The CBD utilized in our tinctures is extracted from industrial hemp cultivated in the United States. To further ensure quality and purity, our industrial hemp goes through a supercritical CO2 extraction process to obtain the best possible CBD solution. This solution is then formulated by our board-certified pharmacists into finished products and sent out for third-party testing. Our CBD oil is made with high-quality CBD extracted from organic hemp that is abundant in naturally produced terpenes, oils, vitamins, omega fatty acids, and other components.
For example, cytokines are the signaling proteins synthesized and secreted by immune cells upon stimulation. They are the modulating factors that balance initiation and resolution of inflammation. One of the mechanisms of immune control by CBD during inflammation is stopping cytokine production by immune cells and lowering cytokine production by the T-helper cells Th1 and Th2 (which are interestingly the same cells in which overactivity can contribute to autoimmune issues and food intolerances). The inflammatory compound interleukin-6 (IL-6) can also be decreased in the presence of CBD.

I wanted to know something about your part in the absorption of CBD. You talked about how CBD is non water-soluble and the best way to get the full effect is to either take a large amount OR vaporize it which you considered to be annoying or unnecessary. I on the other hand have no quarrels with doing this as I am an occasional smoker. Since you didn’t elaborate much on vaporizing, does this imply that it is still an adequate route to getting a better effect of CBD?
Did you know that the number one reported condition for medical marijuana cards is pain? In Colorado, 92% of patients, over 86,000 people, use cannabis to treat their chronic pain. Research on CBD and pain management has shown great promise and people are increasingly turning to cannabinoid therapy as the harms of opioids garner more attention and scrutiny.
Kind of like cannabis, humans have been cultivating turmeric for a long time – over 4,000 years. The Ayurvedic medicinal herb was originally used as a medicinal herb in Southeast Asia, where turmeric also carries significant religious significance. Turmeric was a highly sought after commodity in the ancient spice trades that swept across China and Africa, all before the end of the 9th century.

CBD, or canabidiol is an amazingly useful plant compound that is extracted from the cannabis plant. With volumes of medical science now at its back, this compound has been used effectively for a wide range of needs. These particularly wide-ranging applications are the result of its being a part of the “pleiotropic sedate” group. Compounds in this group are especially unique in their ability to affect and travel along many of the typically closed atomic pathways.

You should also know that the company from whom I purchased the "bad" CBD oil was completely unhelpful or caring about my reaction beyond denying thier product had any hand in causing it. They offered no refund and told me to just purchase another tube. So It is with a certain amount of trust and hope, that I leave my story here for you to read, or ignore.
When people talk about marijuana or use marijuana, they’re usually referring to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). What’s THC? It’s the part of the hemp plant (AKA the cannabis plant) that induces a euphoric state. Or an annoying state, mildly schizophrenic state, depending on your perspective. We can at least say beyond a shadow of a doubt that it makes Family Guy episodes way, way funnier.

My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia three years ago. In the normal western medical manner he is currently on quite a lot of medication. But with side effects, mum and I who are caring for him at home are uncertain as to whether his behaviours are indeed symptoms of his dementia or the medication. Dad is unable to communicate, demonstrates intense anxiety and has sporadic sleep patterns.
VerifiedCBD has been in the business since 2014, shipping their CBD goods worldwide. Proudly made in Florida, their CBD oil is considered one of the best Cannabidiol-infused products for pain. Plus, the company is very open about their activity. Although they don’t share much information on their official website, the staff will be happy to answer all your questions once you send them a message.
Figuring out how much CBD oil to take can feel like trying to navigate through a complicated maze. The sheer volume of CBD brands on the market can create confusion for consumers, and when you take a closer look, it’s not difficult to understand why. Not only do vendors use different source materials (CBD-rich cannabis vs. industrial hemp, different strains, etc.), but they also implement different extraction techniques .
And CBD has over 40 different ailments that is supports, as found at www.ProjectCBD.org/conditions.. and it also has been a great preventative solution for many people. This is NOT a prescription. This is an all natural plant with some all natural herbs. If you want to break open the capsules and stick them in your favorite smoothie, that will work also.

One thing i have come to realize is that you never know how true it is until you try. There is no harm in trying. Remember, delay in treatment leads to death. Here is his email: dr.sircuscancercuremedication@gmail.com
A wealth of marketing material, blogs and anecdotes claim that cannabis oils can cure whatever ails you, even cancer. But the limited research doesn't suggest that cannabis oil should take the place of conventional medication, except for in two very rare forms of epilepsy (and even then, it's recommended only as a last-resort treatment). And, experts caution that because cannabis oil and other cannabis-based products are not regulated or tested for safety by the government or any third-party agency, it's difficult for consumers to know exactly what they're getting.
totally agree with you . doctors give you meds for everything the side effects from them are horrible . then you have to take another pill for the side effects and it goes on and on.they don’t want you to use the natural stuff because the med companys would go bankrupt. I have always heard that for every disease there is a plant that will cure it or help
We file past the curing rooms and down a hallway pulsating with pumps, fans, filters, generators, trimming machines. A forklift trundles by. Surveillance cameras capture everything, as young workers in medical scrubs scurry about, their faces lit with the pressure and promise of an unorthodox business that’s boomed beyond comprehension. Mindful has big plans to expand, building similar facilities in other states. “Pot is hot!” Hague says with a laugh that conveys amazement and exhaustion. “I’m blown away by what’s happening here every single day.”
My name is Kathleen, I’m 66 years old, and I would like to share my amazing story with you how Dr. Christopher help me on how to go about with cannabis oil. On January 18, 2000, after a severe headache prompted a CAT scan, a 3cm tumor was discovered in the left frontal lobe of my brain. I was 38 years old. My two daughters were ages 15 and 12. Immediate brain surgery was recommended by my surgeon. However, after further discussion, due to slow growth and no adjacent edema, he felt it would not be negligent to postpone surgery and monitor the tumor every 3 months with an MRI. The tumor remained stable for a little over three years then suddenly grew 25%.
As for the efficacy of this CBD oil, it’s a great alternative to OTC painkillers because it really fights the root of the pain instead of just masking its symptoms. On top of being remarkably effective, they also act fast and show a decent absorption rate. The only downside we managed to spot was the taste of the oil, but then again, it’s a common problem with all CBD options in their natural flavor versions – many people dislike its dominating, earthy taste.
sharon wiese, If your 1000 mg bottle of CBD is 30 ml size, then there are about 1.3 mg CBD per drop. (25-30 drops per ml). Taking 6 drops per day, you are only getting 8 mg CBD per day. That is probably not enough to see results. I take a 30 mg gelcap per day as a maintenance dose. My friend was on 3400 mg gabapentin per day for nerve pain associated with shingles. She was able to ween off the gbp, but is using 150 mg of CBD per day. You shouldn’t start that high. Just keep increasing until you see results. Hope this helps.

Cannador® (IKF-Berlin) is a cannabis extract administered in oral capsules, with differing figures as to THC:CBD ratios (reviewed in (Russo and Guy 2006)), generally approximately 2:1. Two pharmacokinetic studies on possibly related material have been reported (Nadulski et al 2005a; Nadulski et al 2005b). In a Phase III RCT employing Cannador in spasticity in multiple sclerosis (MS) (CAMS) (Zajicek et al 2003) (Table 1), no improvement was noted in the Ashworth Scale, but benefit was observed in spasm-associated pain on subjective measures. Both Marinol and Cannador produced reductions in pain scores in long-term follow-up (Zajicek et al 2005). Cannador was assayed in postherpetic neuralgia in 65 subjects with no observed benefit (Ernst et al 2005) (Table 1), and in 30 post-operative pain subjects (CANPOP) without opiates, with slight benefits, but prominent psychoactive sequelae (Holdcroft et al 2006) (Table 1).

Everywhere you click these days, it seems like someone on the internet is talking about cannabidiol—also known as CBD, a chemical compound derived from the cannabis plant. Online retailers market the extract (also known as hemp oil) as a remedy for a variety of ailments, celebrities swear by its healing powers, and the ingredient is popping up in nutritional supplements and beauty products, as well. There’s even a new FDA-approved drug derived from CBD.
Verified CBD has been making seed-to-sale CBD oil in Florida since 2014, yet they’ve stayed a 100% in-house operation over that entire period of time: to this day, the only place you can buy their products is directly through their website. This is a real advantage in today’s market, where it can be super tough trying to distinguish between actual CBD manufacturers, and shady brokers or private labelers.

Researchers have also found that ashwagandha helps support the growth of nerve cell dendrites, which allow these cells to receive communications from other cells, and that ashwagandha helps promote the growth of both normal and damaged nerve cells, suggesting that the herb may boost healthy brain cell function as well as benefit diseased nerve cells. So we’re talking a “nootropic” smart drug type effect.
The endocannabinoid system is tonically active in control of pain, as demonstrated by the ability of SR141716A (rimonabant), a CB1 antagonist, to produce hyperalgesia upon administration to mice (Richardson et al 1997). As mentioned above, the ECS is active throughout the neuraxis, including integrative functions in the periacqueductal gray (Walker et al 1999a; Walker et al 1999b), and in the ventroposterolateral nucleus of the thalamus, in which cannabinoids proved to be 10-fold more potent than morphine in wide dynamic range neurons mediating pain (Martin et al 1996). The ECS also mediates central stress-induced analgesia (Hohmann et al 2005), and is active in nociceptive spinal areas (Hohmann et al 1995; Richardson et al 1998a) including mechanisms of wind-up (Strangman and Walker 1999) and N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors (Richardson et al 1998b). It was recently demonstrated that cannabinoid agonists suppress the maintenance of vincristine-induced allodynia through activation of CB1 and CB2 receptors in the spinal cord (Rahn et al 2007). The ECS is also active peripherally (Richardson et al 1998c) where CB1 stimulation reduces pain, inflammation and hyperalgesia. These mechanisms were also proven to include mediation of contact dermatitis via CB1 and CB2 with benefits of THC noted systemically and locally on inflammation and itch (Karsak et al 2007). Recent experiments in mice have even suggested the paramount importance of peripheral over central CB1 receptors in nociception of pain (Agarwal et al 2007)
Hernandez said interactions between FDA-approved pharmaceuticals and CBD oils are a serious concern. “What we’ve found so far is that [CBD] can actually affect the levels of some of your epilepsy medications,” Hernandez told me. The diarrhea and vomiting associated with CBD oil ingestion can lower the levels of other drugs in patients’ bloodstreams, while the way the body absorbs CBD can raise the levels of certain medications.
In the video, you learn about one study in which researchers found that pot smokers had lower levels of obesity than people who do not smoke pot, and another study that found that a brain chemical with a structure similar to one of the active compounds found in cannabis might actually help people lose weight. The findings are just the latest addition to a growing body of evidence that marijuana may be useful in countering issues related to obesity.
First things first, what even is CBD anyway? Well, in the simplest terms, CBD is a phytochemical, which basically just means it’s an active compound found in a plant, specifically that of the cannabis sativa plant. According to Dr. Gabrielle Francis, a naturopathic doctor, CBD actually comes from a few different plants and natural substances, and it's even produced by the human body.

THC is the primary psychoactive compound in marijuana and it is what people are searching for when they want a product that gives them a "high." Unlike THC, CBD isn't known to cause psychoactive effects, and is therefore attractive to those who want to avoid the high but who believe there are other benefits of CBD, said Sara Ward, a pharmacologist at Temple University in Philadelphia. Among the company’s many offerings is Real Scientific Hemp Oil, which it sells through its subsidiary HempMedsPx, also based in Poway. On its web site, HempMedsPx describes how its hemp “is grown in northern European microclimates, without the use of any pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.” The company promises that it “continuously scrutinizes and improves the processes to meet all regulations and exceeds quality standards.”

I have a question that I am desperately hoping someone can help me with. I am 36, single mom and have been physically disabled from a car wreck. I have almost double digits worth of herniated discs, 2 that were completely blown out (so I have 3 vertebrae sitting on top of each other grinding away), degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE, muscle spasms and need a right hip replacement. With the new FDA “guidelines” on narcotic/opiate medication I will now receive only approximately 1/3 of my pain medication and NO spasm medication. I did not have a “life” before this change, I merely “existed”. Now I am afraid I am not even existing. I can’t walk (even with a cane or walker, I am still a fall risk), can’t control painful spasms and am not going to be able to take care of my son. I get drug tested every month at Pain Management and was wondering if anyone found a product that does NOT contain THC or with such a small amount that does not show in a drug test (I’ve never failed one, because I don’t do drugs – except the ones prescribed to me, and don’t plan on failing one), I can not afford to be “fired” as a Pain Management patient. I am in desperate need of something though. I would appreciate any input, opinions or testimonials. Thank you in advance, I appreciate it.

My husband is in the process of being approved for a kidney/pancreas transplant and since marijuana is not legal in SC he is having to go through an addiction class and test clean to be approved. He has been a daily smoker for many years and I was wondering if this would help decrease any issues he may have when he quits. He has some depression and anxiety especially lately due to medical issues. He is a Type 1 diabetic with CKD and will probably be on dialysis within the next few months. He also has diabetic neuropathy, retinopathy, and hypothyroidism Will your product be ok for him to take and will it help him? He cannot take NSAIDs due to his kidney disease. Thanks
The most appropriate delivery system for CBD-rich cannabis is one that provides an optimal dose for a desired duration with few unwanted side effects. CBD-rich cannabis flower varietals for smoking or vaping are available in many medical marijuana dispensaries, but most CBD patients prefer non-inhalable products made with cannabis oil concentrates. Although banned by federal law, measurable doses of potent CBD-rich cannabis remedies are available in many non-smokable forms and can be utilized in various ways. The time of onset and duration of effect vary depending on the method of administration. CBD-rich cannabis oil products can be taken sublingually, orally (as edibles, lozenges, beverages, tinctures, and gel caps), or applied topically. Concentrated cannabis oil extracts can also be heated and inhaled with a vape pen. Inhalation is good for treating acute symptoms that require immediate attention; the effects can be felt within a minute or two and typically last for a couple of hours. The effects of orally administered CBD-rich cannabis oil can last for four hours or more, but the onset of effects is much slower (30-90 minutes) than inhalation.
To this point, CBD oil has existed in a kind of liminal space— at once an illegal drug, a legal medication, and some kind of “dietary” supplement. It’s possible this could change in the coming years, however. GW Pharmaceuticals, a U.K.-based firm, has developed a “pure CBD” medication called Epidiolex that has shown promising test results. It is currently on a fast-track to receive FDA clearance. For some patients, Epidiolex could be a miracle cure. This summer, in Wired magazine, writer Fred Vogelstein chronicled his family’s own struggles to find an effective treatment for his son’s epilepsy—including experiments with hemp oil— and the immense hurdles they overcame to gain access to Epidiolex prior to its FDA approval. The drug could be for sale on pharmacy shelves in the near future, though exactly how near is hard to say.
However, since topicals are absorbed through the skin, they tend to work slower than most other CBD product types, even though they have can have potent CBD concentrations. Additionally, creams, lotions, and balms tend to be slightly more expensive than other CBD products when comparing CBD quantity. This is because they usually contain a variety of other high-quality ingredients not found in traditional CBD products.
CBD oil is also used by some people who have cancer. A few studies in mice have shown a reduction of cancerous tumors. But most human studies have involved research into the role of CBD oil in managing pain related to cancer and cancer treatment. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has pointed to CBD as a possible option for relieving symptoms caused by chemotherapy.
